http://rachellebleakley.wordpress.com/ Is the Lord leading you or self?
That’s not to say that all the things we do are bad, some may be good, but are they the best that God has for you? I’ve heard it said by many preachers that good is the biggest enemy of best. God wants the best for us so we can become men and women of faith. What is faith? Hebrews 11:1 in the Amplified Bible is very clear, Now Faith is the assurance the confirmation, the title deed of things hoped for, being the proof of things we do not see and the conviction of their reality, faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to our senses. When I wrote this scripture down, the Lord had me break it down and expand it even more to read it this way. “Now faith (not yesterdays, not tomorrows, but today, now, this very second right here where you are sitting) It is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) (it’s ours we own it free and clear, there are no leans on it we have the right to it) Of things we hope for, (Bible believing hope is not wishy washy, in the Greek it is the word elpis, which means, confident expectation with a sure basis) Being the proof of things we do not see, (we do not have to see something to have faith in it. You have faith that when you sit down in a chair it will hold you up.) And the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to our senses] (we are to call those things that are not as though they were Romans 4:17). That is Bible believing faith, our circumstances should not rule us; we should and must rule them. As you dig deeper into faith you have to look at the Greek word for it, pistis, Strong’s says this, it’s a conviction, confidence, trust, belief, reliance, trust worthiness and persuasion. Our God is trust worthy, what He says He will do, He will do. In the Spirit Filled Bible’s word wealth it says this, In the New Testament, faith is to be a divinely implanted principle of inward confidence. Faith must come from within. You receive a prophetic word over your life, what do you do with it? I’ve heard people of faith say, “I know in my knower” your knower is that inner man that is so filled with the Spirit of God and the Word of God, that You get a witness that this is truth. To receive the vision you must first believe it. You must know in your knower, that against all odds that what the Bible says is true and will come to pass. We may not always act like it, but we are being changed from moment to moment, from challenge to challenge. We are being changed into the image of Christ. “He will do the work in me”, Philippians 1:6 says, “being confident of this very thing that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” In order to have faith for the vision we have received and to flow in the power of the anointing,
we must first, “Have Faith in the Word of God”. Whose word are you putting your faith in? Sometimes it’s easier to put our faith in the lies the enemy speaks to us and about us, rather than believing the truth of who we really are according to the Word of God. When satan tells us we can’t, the Word says in Philippians 4:13 “ We can do all things through Christ.” When satan says we are a failure, the Word says in Romans 8:37 “We are more than conquerors through Him who loves us.” John Maxwell says in his book “Failing Forward” you only become a failure when you do not pick yourself up and move forward. We can not give up, it’s not an option. Sadly we sometimes settle for less because it is easier. We have to change our way of thinking. In the NLT Jeremiah 29:11 says, “I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” As long as God knows the plans for our life, we can have faith in Him and His Word to lead us and guide us to fulfill the mission or vision that He has for us. We must first realize this: “Faith does not deny the facts, it changes them.” Romans 10:17 says, “Faith comes by hearing the Word of God.” James 1:22 takes it a step further by saying, “Be doers of the Word, not just hears.” Faith is an action word we need to step out and do what it says. An old saying comes to mind “stop, look and listen”.... I believe the Holy Spirit wants us to look at those words in this way, when we don’t know what to do; Stop what you are doing.......... Whatever you are doing that is not producing faith, stop doing it. Look at the Word of God.... Whatever you are reading and looking at, if it is not building your faith, change your focus. Listen to the Holy Spirit.......... Who are you listening to; if it’s not the Holy Spirit, simply stop listening. But don’t stop there, do what the Word says! Only then can you flow in the power of the anointing and fulfill your God given vision. Rachelle is off to Hillsongs Church - Australia for 10 days!
